The Southdowns Folk Festival is a not-for profit community group and all funding for the Festival is raised through fundraising, donations and ticket income.
The main objectives of the Southdowns Folk Festival are to:
- Provide an accessible family cultural Festival across the town, with free entry to many events
- Encourage young musicians from the area by running the `Sussex Young Folk Performers Competition`
- Promote local growth, employment and tourism in the area by extending the tourism season and bringing new business to local providers
- Attract many new visitors to Bognor Regis and raise the profile and image of Bognor Regis
In 2014:
- The event was attended by over 25,000 people
- We printed and disseminated over 16,000 leaflets and posters
- The dedicated website took over 80,000 hits in the two months before the Festival commenced
- We gained over 900 Facebook followers
- We gained over 200 followers on Twitter
- The Observer Series published a supplement about the event reaching over 60,000 readers in Sussex
We wish to encourage all size local/national business to support this local event and therefore offer a variety of sponsorship opportunities. Items which can be directly sponsored include:
£75 – to purchase an advert in the Festival programme (1/4 A5)
£100- towards the cost of a musical workshop at the theatre
£150- towards a local act performing at the event
£200- towards purchasing flatbed trolleys for festival set up in the park
£300- towards signage costs
£400- towards generator hire
£500- towards poster printing
£500- towards volunteer training and provision
£750- towards an international folk act
£800- towards security and marshalling of Hotham Park
£850- towards PA Hire
£900- towards marque costs
£1,000- as the ‘main’ sponsor of the ‘Young Musician Folk Award’
£1,200- towards a ‘headline act’ at The Regis Centre
£1,500- as a ‘Main’ Festival sponsorAs a ‘Main Festival sponsor’ we will offer acknowledgement on the website ‘Main sponsor’ lists, social media, a stand at the event, an advert in the festival programme and also a mention in the Observer press releases.
In return for any other sponsorship or ‘in kind’ gifts/ donations we will offer acknowledgement on the sponsor’s page on the website, through social media and acknowledgement in the programme.
