Trevor Clawson
Sun 25th Sept | 2pm | RAFA Club
Once described by Time Out magazine as "one of the best songwriters around," Trevor Clawson is an Irish songwriter and singer who draws on elements of folk, blues and Americana as a musical backdrop for mainly character-led narratives.
Trevor cut his musical teeth playing in folk clubs in his native Northern Ireland before taking a temporary and highly enjoyable foray into post-punk rock in the early 1980s. Returning to acoustic guitar, he was a regular performer on London's indie-folk circuit in the 1990s, playing both in folk clubs and in larger venues such as the Mean Fiddler and the Borderline, while also gigging across the rest of the UK and in Europe.
Since then, he has released five albums (all available online) and plays largely in Sussex and Surrey.
