Chessi is a wonderful, Warwickshire-based acoustic folk/roots singer songwriter.
In 2018 she threw herself into performing and three months later she was singing her original songs in acoustic sessions and music venues in Birmingham, West Midlands and Warwickshire. Since then, Chessi has built an impressive musical CV and performed at festivals and across various parts of the UK & Western Australia.
Chessi's music has been described as "melodic and catchy defiance" with a "soulful" and "haunting" vocal.
Chessi's most recent single 'The Pines' (released September 2021) received critical acclaim. Leo Ulph from 'BBC Radio Kent' stated that the song 'The Pines' "...sounds like a fusion between Lana Del Rey and Mumford and Sons”. The song was picked up by CWR BBC introducing, BBC Oxford, BBC Wiltshire, BBC Kent and was played on the airwaves across the UK, Ireland and as far as Maui, Hawaii.
'The Pines' precedes Chessi's upcoming debut album 'Wine Glass Filter' (released 2022).
Chessi is an advocate for mental health awareness and environmental issues of which partly stems from her love of surfing and the outdoors, themes of which you will find interwoven throughout her music.
